SWEENEY TODD by Stephen Sondheim  The Camarillo Community Theatre is proud to present Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street to the CCT Stage. "Sweeney Todd", winner of nine Tony awards including "Best Musical" was written by Stephen Sondheim, who has won more Tony Awards than any other composer. Sweeney Todd tells the story of a man falsely accused of a crime and sentenced to 15 years while his wife and daughter are taken from him by the man who sent him away.   What revenge would you take if everything were taken from you? How far would you be willing to go, and at what consequence? Come, join us and attend the tale of Sweeney Todd… The show will open on Friday, June 19 and run through Sunday, July 26, 2009. Show times and dates are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. On Saturday, July 4, we will have a special matinee performance only at 2:00 pm. The musical is directed by Dean Johnson and music directed by Charlie Kim. Nick Marinoff is playing Sweeney Todd and Liz Stockton is playing Mrs. Lovett. Every Friday night is 2 tickets for the price of 1 for ALL STUDENTS ONLY! Discounts may not be combined. Group rates are available. Ticket prices: $10 to $18. The theatre is supporting FOOD SHARE. Please bring a non-perishable food item and receive a free popcorn from the snack bar. CCT is located at 330 Skyway Drive, Camarillo, inside the Camarillo airport.
